Peel the yam, cut into desired shape and wash, pour 1 1/2 litters of water in a clean pot, add a pinch of salt, bring to boil, then add the yam pieces, allow to cook, you can insert a fork to check if its done then drain off the water

Beat two eggs, add seasoning cube, black pepper powder, ginger powder, diced onion and pepper paste, whisk well, add 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour in a clean bowl, pour in 2 tablespoon of water and form a smooth slurry, pour the slurry into the egg mixture, mix well, add the cooked yam into the egg mixture, mix well and ensure that the egg mixture covers the yam pieces, then deep fry on a medium heat until golden brown
