Twinkle-Twinkle Little Star,
How I Wonder, What You Are........
This is called "Galaxy Cake" because it looks like a night-sky, surrounded by the starts in the galaxy.....
Steps
- 1
Firstly for making a star-cake, take the milk and add few drops of blue food color to it. Mix it and keep it aside.
- 2
Then take a bowl and add curd, sugar & butter and mix everything well. Then keep a strainer over it and add all the dry ingredients like flour, baking powder & baking soda. Give everything a good mix by slowly and gradually adding the blue milk mixture into it.
- 3
Now grease a cake tin and pour the mixture into it. Now for pre-heating, take a Kadai with its base covered with salt and a stand over it. Cover it and pre-heat the Kadai for 3 mins on high flame and then 5 mins. on medium flame. Then place the cake-tin over the stand and bake it on a low flame for about 20 mins.
- 4
Let the cake come to room temperature then demould it. Cut it with a help of star-shaped cutter. Now keep these mini-stars aside.
- 5
Now let's go for the black cake. In a large bowl, add hot milk, choco-chips & coffee powder. Give everything a good mix.
- 6
Then add oil, sugar & condensed milk to it. Combine everything well.
- 7
Now keep a strainer over it and add flour, baking powder, baking soda & cocoa powder to it. Combine everything well. Then add chocolate essence to it & mix it once again.
- 8
Now for pre-heating, take a kadai with it's base covered with salt and a stand over it. Cover it and pre-heat the kadai for 3 mins on high flame and then 5 mins. on medium flame.
- 9
Now grease a cake tin with some oil and pour 1/4th cake batter into it. Now horizontally put all the blue-stars in a row, as shown in the image below. Gently pour the rest of the black-forest batter into it, as in image 3.
- 10
Now after 7 to 8 mins of pre-heating, place the cake tin over the stand, cover the kadai and bake it on a low flame for about 30 to 40 mins. Demould the cake once it comes to the room temperature.
- 11
Now cut them into pieces as shown in the image. You will notice a star, hidden in each piece of the cake. It will look-like the beautiful night surrounded by the starts around. Enjoy this exciting recipe with your loved ones......
