Rich and Chewy Ogre Dumplings (Oni-Manju)

It's the season for sweet potatoes!! I always make these at this time of the year.
When steaming, use a kitchen towel over the lid of the steamer to make sure that the condensation will not drip down.
If you fan them with a fan right out of the steamer, they will turn shiny.

Remove the skin from the sweet potato, chop into 1 cm cubes, then soak in water.

Put the drained sweet potatoes into the "a" mixture, then mix with a wooden spoon.

Add the honey and water, and stir until no longer floury.

Separate the mixture into 8 dumplings, line the steamer with parchment paper, then place the dumplings on top making sure there is enough space between them. Steam for 15 minutes on medium heat.
