Egg Mochi

I was trying to think of something to do with leftover mochi, and came up with this. My husband loved it, and all my mochi are gone now.
You could top this with aonori seaweed and bonito flakes. If you want to eat healthy, you can make it akashiyaki (egg and octopus dumplings) style: substitute grated daikon and dashi stock for the okonomiyaki sauce and the mayonnaise. Recipe by Mizukichi

Steps
- 1
Heat vegetable oil in the frying pan, and fry the mochi until browned. Next, press down with a spatula to flatten.
- 2
Crack the egg over the top of the mochi and break the yolk. Once the egg has solidified, flip everything over and fry for a bit.
- 3
Top with okonomiyaki sauce and mayo, and serve!
