Macrobiotic Granola Bar

I wanted to make a delicious granola bar that didn't use any eggs. I gave it a go many times and finally accomplished it.
After baking, even if you think they won't stiffen up, let them dry and they'll become crunchy.
Use your choice of dry fruits. This time I used dried mango, raisins, and blueberries. Recipe by Miniature basil

Homemade Granola Bars Homemade Granola Bars
Granola bars are very popular these days because they are healthy, delicious, and affordable. They're even better if you make them fresh with your own carefully chosen ingredients!A few more tipsYou can add any dried fruits you like (apricots, raisins, strawberries, etc.) as well as nuts (hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.). When you take it out of the oven, the mixture will be soft, but it will harden as it cools. It keeps well at room temperature for several days. My Favorite Granola Bars My Favorite Granola Bars
My daughter loves granola bars, so we usually have them in the house, but I have yet to find a flavor that I really love. So I decided to try my own mix of ingredients. That's the great thing about homemade granola bars. As long as you stick to the base recipe for the binder (the butter, honey and brown sugar) and the same amounts of ingredients, you can add pretty much whatever ingredients sound good to you at the time. These bars are just the right mix of salty and sweet and keep you filled up between meals. Or they make a good breakfast, served with some fresh fruit. Christina

S'mores Granola Bars S'mores Granola Bars
Quaker has a S'mores flavored granola bar, which happens to be my daughters favorite flavor. I've been making granola bars lately for me to snack on, so I decided to see if I could recreate her favorite flavor. I might be biased, but I think these are way better and with a way shorter list of ingredients than the boxed variety. Christina

I used honey instead of sugar/corn syrup and also used a bag of SunMaid mixed dried fruits. I didn't have almonds or coconut either BUT added my favorites - ground flax, chia seeds & sesame seeds. This is delicious :cookie Definitely a new family favorite treat :-) Courtney
