Aatu Moolai Masala or Goat Brain Masala

Its an authentic south Indian delicacy. Goat brain is rich in Iron and protein. This simple and tasty brain masala goes well with sambar rice, rasam rice and with plain rice too.

Its an authentic south Indian delicacy. Goat brain is rich in Iron and protein. This simple and tasty brain masala goes well with sambar rice, rasam rice and with plain rice too.
Steps

Place the brains in a boiling pot and boil the brain with salt and turmeric power for 5minutes.

Let it cool. Using a strainer separate the brain and water. keep the water safe.

Cut the brains into small pieces and keep aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add in the cumin seeds, curry leaves, chopped onion and salt. Saute till the onion changes colour.

Now add in the ginger garlic paste. Saute till the raw smell leaves.

Further add in the chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Saute for a minute.

Now pour the strained water and cook till the tomatoes are mushy.

After the masala cooked well and turned mushy, add in the brain pieces. Gently mix the brain pieces with the masala.

Finally add some chopped coriander leaves and curry leaves.
Moolai masala is ready to serve.
