Steps
- 1
Mix flour with the butter. Don't melt the butter! You can let it soften in room temperature. Best done by hand.
- 2
Beat eggs with sugar. Add it to the flour mixture and make dough. If it's sticky a lot, add a bit more flour. Put the dough into the fridge for an hour.
- 3
While dough is cooling down, peel and cut apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and add sugar (amount can vary a lot, based on your taste and sweetness of apples used).
- 4
Roll the dough into thin layer (roughly 4 mm thickness) on baking paper and transfer it into the form (you should get about half of dough left from edge cuts).
- 5
Apples with sugar might release a lot of juice. In a such case, you can sprinkle the dough with bread crumbs. They will absorb the juice and prevents dough from being soggy. Put apples into the form. Roll the rest of the dough, cut it to strips and cover apples by a grid from strips.
- 6
Bake for 40 minutes at 180°C.
