Panakam

Panakam is a traditional beverage made with jaggery, cardamom and water. It is a custom to make panakam for Lord Sriram on the auspicious occasion of Sri Ramnavami. It is generally offered in temples.
Every RamaNavami we use to visit the Ayyapa temple where we used to get this Panakam as prasadam. I just recreated this recipe on the occasion of Sri RamaNavami.

Food is not simply stuff that people eat when they are hungry. Food is awesome, delicious, inventive, colorful, inspiring, and so much more. Food binds us together. You have no idea how much it means to me when you tell me that you made a recipe and loved it. My heart fills with joy. Literally.
