Steps
- 1
In a pressure cooker take cleaned mutton along with 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, salt and water. Pressure cook for 5-6 whistles until mutton is cooked well.
- 2
In a pan heat oil and ghee. Add in whole spices mentioned for seasoning and sauté.
- 3
Add in chopped onions, green chili and curry leaves. (Adjust quantity of chili according to your spice level. Alternatively Chili’s can be grounded with coconut for more spicy kurma). Sauté until onions are soft. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell goes away.
- 4
Add in cooked mutton along with broth and let it come to a boil. Meanwhile take ingredients mentioned for coconut paste in mixer jar, add water and grind to a fine paste.
- 5
Add coconut paste, chopped tomato to mutton along with required amount of water. Let it come to boil and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Finally garnish with chopped mint and coriander leaves.
- 6
White mutton kurma is ready to be served. I served with coconut milk rice, which I have attached the link here.
