Soya Chunks Biryani

Soya chunks match the protein content of meat and considered as a substitute vegetarian food. For preparing biryani, soya chunks need to be wash 2-3 times or else it will ruin the dish.

Soya chunks match the protein content of meat and considered as a substitute vegetarian food. For preparing biryani, soya chunks need to be wash 2-3 times or else it will ruin the dish.

Arrange the ingredients.

Heat ghee and oil in a pan. Add bay leaf,cloves and black pepper and saute for 15 second. Add onion and garlic and saute till onion turn translucent.

Add tomatoes and continue frying till they turn mushy.

Add chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder and boiled soya chunks and mix well. Add the chopped mint and coriander.

Whisk yogurt and mix almond milk and add to the pan.

Continue to cook till the gravy is thick which means absorbed by soya chunks. Add the biryani masala and mix well.
Add rice, mix and fold in light hand with masala. Cover and simmer for five minutes. Serve with raita.
