I've prepared this dish the first time. It is similar to Saurashtra's Dhokli Sabzi.
Steps

Take all ingredients of the Gatta section. Add water carefully. Add the only a spoonful. Bind it and shape it like cylindrical. Take water in another pan. Add salt to it. Add gatta in the water.

Let it boils. When you add gatta in the water, it will sink but as soon it is cooked, it will float. Take out. Let it cool. Cut it into equal portions. Do not throw the gatta cooked water.

Take a pan. Add oil. Once the oil is hot, add asafoetida. Add basic red gravy.

Add masala and gatta cooked water. Add salt. Let it boils.

Add gatta in that gravy. Cook on low flame for some time. Serve hot with Roti.
