
Hint of Mexican Cheese Sauce

I like to make breakfast casseroles from time to time and usually use my condensed cheddar soup recipe to make it nice creamy and cheesy. But this time I had some leftover taco meat so I added a few different things and made this easy cheesy sauce with a Mexican flair.

I like to make breakfast casseroles from time to time and usually use my condensed cheddar soup recipe to make it nice creamy and cheesy. But this time I had some leftover taco meat so I added a few different things and made this easy cheesy sauce with a Mexican flair.

Melt butter in a small sauce pan over medium heat. Add in flour and whisk to combine to create a smooth consistency.

Slowly add in milk and continue whisking until all flour mixture is combined. Continue heating and stirring occasionally until just before boiling. Reduce heat to low and add shredded cheese.

Whisk until all cheese is melted and then add herbs and spices. Continue heating for about another 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes before using.
