Sweet Potato Rice: The Subtle Sweetness Makes Me Happy! Sweet Potato Rice: The Subtle Sweetness Makes Me Happy!
My mother taught me this recipe, and I adjusted the amounts.Put the cut up sweet potato in a bowl of water right away, or it will turn black.Put the sake in the rice cooker with the rice, before filling with water. If you add it after filling up the water to the line, there will be too much liquid.Even with the sweet potato added, you can use the regular amount of water used to cook 3 rice cooker cups of rice.I sliced the sweet potato 1.5 cm thick, and then quartered the slices. Filipino Food Series: Lola Sayong’s Suman w/ Coconut Jam (Traditional Glutinous Rice Cake) Filipino Food Series: Lola Sayong’s Suman w/ Coconut Jam (Traditional Glutinous Rice Cake)
Trivia: Suman is a Filipino traditional rice cake that’s usually eaten during breakfast or afternoon snack paired with coconut jam, cocoa chocolate and coffee! This recipe was from my Lola’s (grandmother). She used to cook and sell this around our community when she was still alive. She literally did all the hard work from getting banana leaves, running them over fire to make the leaves soft, wrapping ( the most tedious process for me) cooking to selling. Hats off to my grandmother! ❤️ Ynielle’s Kitchen Diaries -

Crumbly Fried Rice Crumbly Fried Rice
When you live alone, you might frequently cook fried rice. If you follow the usual way, you will end up having soggy fried rice. It is difficult to make restaurant-like light fried rice.I wanted to make a non-greasy and authentic fried rice with simple ingredients. That's why I created this recipe. To make a light fried rice, it is essential to have a stovetop with a lot of gas. Usually hobs at home don't work well. To get over this, heat your frying pan very hot beforehand.By mixing the rice and raw egg, each grain of rice is coated with the egg sheen and your fried rice will become crumbly. Cooked in an Earthenware Pot: Crab Rice Cooked in an Earthenware Pot: Crab Rice
We received canned crab meat as a gift.I've been making rice in a donabe (earthware pot) recently.I measure the rice with a measuring cup, and fill it up to the 200 ml level (This is different from a rice cooker cup which is 180 ml, so take note of that.)Don't remove the lid until the rice is cooked. Use bonito or konbu seaweed based dashi stock. For 2 servings. Recipe by Kei cookpad.japan -
Easy in a Rice Cooker! Tomato Rice Easy in a Rice Cooker! Tomato Rice
I wasn't bothered to fry any of the ingredients, so I just put them all in the rice cooker. You can add garlic if you like. This is really easy and healthy because you don't need to fry with oil. If you prefer it richer, add a drizzle of olive oil to finish. Recipe by Rola Love cookpad.japan -
Cooking Rice in a Pot Without it Boiling Over Cooking Rice in a Pot Without it Boiling Over
I've lived in Europe for 14 years, and it's been 10 years since I started cooking rice on the stove. At some point, I settled on this cooking method. It's really convenient. I use a different recipe for cooking rice in a Le Creuset pot. When the Le Creuset method feels like too much trouble, I cook my rice following this recipe.1 rice cooker cup = 180 ml. This recipe works for up to 3 rice cooker cups’ worth of rice. If making sushi rice, reduce the water level by 2-3 mm and cook. You can add in a bit of extra water or leave it to steam for 12 minutes, adjust the recipe to suit your preferences. As of late, I always add a little extra water when cooking my rice.
