When my child was watching cooking videos, we came across this dish. My child said they wanted to try it, so I made it—and they loved it!

Cut the chicken into bite-sized cubes and prepare the other ingredients.

Heat a pan with oil. Coat the chicken pieces in crispy frying flour, then add them to the pan one at a time. Fry until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Add the onion and bell pepper to the pan and fry briefly until just softened. Remove from the pan and turn off the heat.

Place the empty pan back on the stove. Add the crushed garlic and all the seasonings (soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, sesame oil, black pepper, and water). Cook over low heat, stirring until the sauce thickens.

Add the fried onion and bell pepper back to the pan, followed by the fried chicken, cashew nuts, and green onion. Stir everything together, turn off the heat, and transfer to a serving plate.
