A very basic pasta recipe using Maggi Masala. This recipe uses very few ingredients and tastes really good for something this minimal. Also, it is very easy to make. I mean if I can cook it, then anyone can cook it.

1 serving
  1. 100 gms pasta
  2. 400 mlwater
  3. as requiredCooking oil
  4. 1onion
  5. 1tomato
  6. As requiredSome Garlic (optional)
  7. as requriedTomato sauce
  8. 1 packetMaggi Masala (6 gm)
  9. as neededsalt

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

Take 100 gms of uncooked pasta and add it to 400 ml of water. Add one teaspoon of cooking oil and a bit of salt so that the pasta doesn't stick with each other, and let the mixture heat at medium flame. Wait until the mixture starts simmering and the pasta is well cooked.

  2. 2

Rinse the pasta after some time. Make sure that the consistency of pasta is to your liking I.e. it's neither too hard, nor too soft. Also, rinse this boiled pasta with clean water 2-3 times to get rid of the starch residue.

  3. 3

Heat up some cooking oil in a pan. The amount of oil depends on you. I usually just eyeball it.

  4. 4

After the oil heats up, add minced tomato and onion as per your liking. I usually add 1 tomato and 1 onion for 100 gm of pasta serving. You can also add some garlic to it if you want. Stir this mixture for 2 minutes.

  5. 5

Now add tomato sauce followed by Maggi Masala and stir the mixture for a minute or two.

  6. 6

Now add the pasta we boiled a few steps ago, and stir the mixture well. Add some salt to it as per your liking. 1/4th of a teaspoon is enough I feel. Also, while stirring, make sure the consistency is even, and the sauce is evenly mixed with the pasta.

  7. 7

It's done. Turn off the gas after you're sure the pasta is cooked well. Get it off the gas and into a plate, and enjoy it.
