This recipe is a combination of the flavors from my sisters. The crust is my sister Gina's recipe, and the filling is mine, made with lots of love.

In a bowl, place the two cups of sifted flour, the egg, salt, and sugar.

Using two forks, mix everything until a dough forms.

If necessary, add teaspoons of water to fully incorporate.

Let the dough rest in the fridge while we prepare the filling.

In a pan, add two tablespoons of butter, the apples, cornstarch, vanilla, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Cook for 10 minutes, then turn off the heat.

Add the filling and decorate with strips of dough.

Brush with egg and brown sugar.

Take out the dough and line the pie pan.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 minutes.
