Everybody's Favorite Salmon Heaped with Vegetable Ankake

I mannered this after salmon recipes, but arranged it so that you could eat lots of vegetables with it.
This tastes great using other vegetables as well! It tastes great with string beans, Japanese leeks, or kikurage mushrooms. Please use fresh salmon and not salted salmon! I made a mistake and bought sweet and spicy golden salmon before, and it was extremely salty. Recipe by CHIKA

Healthy Steamed Salted Salmon and Vegetables Healthy Steamed Salted Salmon and Vegetables
You might be given salted salmon as a gift in winter. When I get tired of just grilling it and eating rice or pasta with it I sometimes make this dish.I made it a recipe this time. This dish appears very often to use up any leftover vegetables in the fridge. When you use quite salty salmon, add more vegetables to balance out the saltiness of the entire dish.I used slightly salty salmon this time . The dish itself was quite salty so I had a lot of rice with it.You can use any leftover vegetables but I always like potatoes in this. Recipe by Kukkuichi cookpad.japan -

I bought these food molds and went on a kick of making round things. I was into Japanese food at the time so this was one of them, which I served with a side of tofu with ponzu sauce and some sauteed asparagus. All amounts are after-the-fact estimates; your mileage may vary. Jon -
Summer Salmon Summer Salmon
At the market, the tomatoes are starting to look pretty good, so I picked up a few. I was in the mood for salmon and got a small tail-end fillet chunk. The salmon set me thinking that dill might work with tomatoes. I'm not sure why I thought to brown the butter, but it makes sense in hindsight. There was an element missing, so I found some Greek yogurt in the fridge and added dill, but it was lacking. Tried salt and pepper. There was a definite improvement, but not quite there. A touch of horseradish sealed the deal. It made sense to use the, "tomato story," bowl I got at Daiso, a Japanese dollar store near my house. Pretty satisfied with the results overall. I'd put it on a menu. Ryan Goodwin -
Refreshing Salmon with Thick Gingery Sauce Refreshing Salmon with Thick Gingery Sauce
I added some ginger and vinegar to my usual thick ankake sauce.I just came up with this idea on the spot.In place of hot water + dashi granules, you can use real dashi stock instead. I make it with dashi granules because it's easier. If you decrease the amount of vinegar, decrease the sugar as well. The ratio of the katakuriko + flour is 5:5.If possible, cook Steps 2 & 3 at the same time.Step 3: You could alternatively boil the vegetables. Pacific Cod and Vegetables with Sweet Vinegar Ankake Sauce Pacific Cod and Vegetables with Sweet Vinegar Ankake Sauce
I wanted to increase my repertoire for cod, since my daughter loves it, so I came up with this version with a veggie-packed sweet vinegar ankake sauce.Prepping the cod well eliminates the unpleasant fishy smell and helps keep it from breaking apart while cooking.Thinly slicing the green pepper horizontally will soften its texture. If you will prepare your katakuriko slurry with the method shown here, you'll be able to avoid lumps. Cod with Vegetable Ankake Sauce Cod with Vegetable Ankake Sauce
I combined in-season cod with some vegetables I had in the refrigerator, to make a Japanese-style dish.If you prefer to have lots of sauce, double the sauce ingredients. The key is to not flip the cod over too often when it's cooking. Leave it alone so that it can brown on one side, then turn over and brown the other side. This way they won't fall apart, and will have a crispy finish. If you want the vegetables to be crispy, don't stir fry them or simmer them in the sauce for too long. Recipe by oldice cookpad.japan
