Hyderabadi Shomlette or Meetha Anda

The name can be a bit new to many but it's nothing but a simple Omelette but with Sugar. Hence the name is given as such. Isn't it beautiful? This is an absolutely easy peasy Breakfast dish that is most loved in my city. This particular one is my mom's recipe in which she adds Fennel powder to the beaten Eggs.
Addition of Fennel gives it a lovely aroma as well as a distinct flavour too.

It was my most favourite one as a child and would gobble it up on it's own many a times. Though it's good on it's own, it can be served with Rotis and toasted sliced Bread as well.
Not only is it done easily, it's a healthy one too. Honey can be substituted in place of Sugar if desired.

Ingredients

5-6 minutes
2 servings
  1. 3Eggs
  2. 2-3 tbspSugar
  3. 1 tspFennel powder roasted
  4. 1 tbspGhee

Steps

5-6 minutes
  1. 1

    Whisk up the Eggs with all the ingredients mentioned except the last one.

  2. 2

    Heat a pan with Ghee. Add the Egg mix to it. Cook well on both the sides with a lid on. It hardly takes much of your time. Gets done so quickly without much hassles.

    Serve it piping hot immediately. Enjoy!
