Quick Pudding in a Pressure Cooker

This simple pudding is so easy to make.

Work quickly when you add the warmed milk to the egg liquid up until the step where you strain the pudding.
Because the pudding is steamed, you need to add water to the pressure cooker, place the steamer basket in the pressure cooker, and place the cups of pudding in the basket before you turn on the heat. If you don't add water to the pressure cooker, the pot will be damaged. Recipe by Akkonee

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 400 mlMilk (with high fat content)
  2. 35 gramsSugar
  3. 2Eggs
  4. 4drops Vanilla extract
  5. Caramel:
  6. 50 gramsSugar
  7. 1/2 tbspWater

Steps

    Add the sugar to the milk and heat (but do not let it boil).

    The eggs should be at room temperature. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the milk mixture from step (1). Mix with a whisk.

    Pour the mixture from step (2) through a strainer. Add the vanilla e

    Make the caramel in a pot and pour into pudding cups. If it's too much trouble to make caramel, you can use store-bought caramel or caramel tablets.

    Add about 200 ml of water to the pressure cooker pot. Put the steamer basket in the pot and set the puddings in the basket. Heat until the indicator shows the pressure has risen, and then cook under low pressure for 2 minutes.

    Turn off the heat. Without opening the lid, let the pressure release naturally (about 1 1/2 hours).

    Chill in the refrigerator. All done.
