Ingredients

30 minutes
4 -5 persons
  • 1/4 cup urad dal
  • 1/4 cup toor dal
  • 1/4 cup chana dal
  • 1/4 cup moong dal
  • 1/4cup raw rice
  • 1 tbspmultimillets
  • as requiredWhile grinding use
  • as per tasteSalt
  • 1 inchginger
  • as requiredDry red chilies
  • as neededYou can use fresh green chillies too
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 pinchturmeric powder
  • For tempering
  • 1/2 tspoil
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • leavesFew curry
  • 1 pinchhing
  • Into the batter add
  • 1small onion (chopped)
  • As neededAdd finely chopped coriander leaves
  • as required Oil for roasting dosa

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the dals, rice and millets in clean water overnight.
    Next day wash it properly and prepare for grinding.

  2. 2

    In the grinder jar,put salt, ginger, dry red chilies, cumin seeds and turmeric powder. Add water and grind into a smooth batter.
    Keep it rested for minimum 30 minutes. You can rest it for an hour too.
    Transfer into a bowl.
    Prepare for tempering.
    Heat kadhai with oil. Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and add hing. Put this tadka into the batter. Add small chopped onion.

    Add chopped coriander leaves and mix batter well.
    Now heat tawa. Pour in ladle full of batter and make dosas.
