California Roll with Hearts

I realized that I didn't know how to make cute hand rolled sushi, so I made it using transparent rice paper! Try making it with various toppings and shapes!
By the way, if you don't have sushi rice, you can make it by mixing 1 & 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, and a pinch of salt, with rice that is still warm.
-Pay attention to the rice and the size of the toppings so that they don't become too much to wrap!
-The salmon should be cut into long, narrow strips.
-When you add the mayonnaise to the rice paper, be careful because it will make the rice paper come undone. Recipe by Candy_flo

Steps
- 1
Beat the egg and make a thin omelette in a frying pan. With a small heart shaped cutter, cut small hearts out of ham, cheese, and the omelette. Altogether, you should have 18 slices.
- 2
Cut the cucumber vertically into thin strips and the avocado vertically into 4 pieces. With the edge of the cookie cutter, thinly cut the salmon into 2 pieces.
- 3
Quickly wet the rice paper with water and then put it on top of some plastic wrap.
- 4
Now take the ham, cheese, and omelette hearts and arrange them on top of the rice paper from Step 3 in a 3 x 3 square. In total, there should be nine pieces. Spread the sushi rice out starting at the bottom until it's about 1 cm thick on top of the heart shapes.
- 5
Add the cucumber, avocado, salmon side by side in a straight line in the lower part of the rice. Finally, if you'd like, add on the trimmings from when you sliced the shapes on top.
- 6
Coat the top with mayonnaise and then roll up from the bottom to the inside. Make one more roll in the exact same fashion. Let them set in the fridge a bit and then cut it from left to right.
