It's a simple roast with a few simple spices but yes I have used pure Homemade Ghee in this just to give it a nice flavour and aroma.
You can use your own choice of spices depending on your family's preferences. Curd or even Hung Curd can be used for a scrumptious and juicy Leg or Raan.
The best part is that it can be both a delicious appetizer or a complete meal in itself. Loaded with Protiens and Carbohydrates, this one is a great treat for all your guests.

The first thing to be done is clean the Lamb leg and make slits all along.

It is advisable to do it as it will help in getting a juicy and a succulent raan after grilling. Papaya paste helps in cooking it perfectly. Marinate it for one whole day. It's an important part of this amazing dish.

Baste it with Oil or Ghee or Butter before grilling. Preheat oven to the maximum and roast it for an hour and a half. This depends on your oven. It might take a little more or a little lesser time than mentioned. You can straight away roast it until crisp and thoroughly done.

Serve with Homestyle Parathas, Naans, Rumali Rotis etc. It tastes yum. Enjoy!
