Cook the frozen spinach in a small amount of lightly salted water.

Roughly chop the almonds in a food processor.

Combine all the ingredients in a tall container for an immersion blender (including the chopped almonds) except for the oil, which you will drizzle in while blending until you get a smooth sauce. If necessary, add the spinach cooking water. Adjust salt and pepper. The pesto is ready.

Store in the fridge well covered and consume within 2-3 days.
