I make this stew often with soy milk, but made a rich variation using milk and heavy cream.

Steps

Roughly chop the onion and also cut the mushrooms into easy-to-eat sizes. Devein and wash the shrimp.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and stir in the shrimp, onion, and mushrooms in this order. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Add all the ingredients marked ★ and cook covered with a lid until the onion is wilted.

Add the ingredients marked ☆. Add cumin powder if you like. Once boiled, check the taste, add salt and pepper if necessary and it's done.
