Ingredients

30 minutes (if you have the bans ready)
4 portions
  1. 1/2 portionfor my fluffy buns for burgers and sandwiches
  2. For the burger
  3. 800 grground beef
  4. sea salt to taste
  5. black pepper or sweet paprika to taste
  6. For the country fries
  7. 500 grpotatoes
  8. Splasholive oil
  9. sea salt to taste
  10. oregano to taste
  11. sweet paprika to taste
  12. Pickle sauce
  13. 4 tbspmayonnaise
  14. 5pickled cucumbers
  15. Extra ingredients to serve
  16. 4 slicesbacon
  17. 4 slicesextra mature cheddar
  18. green salad (lettuce or anything else you like)
  19. 4 slicestomato
  20. mustard
  21. ketchup

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes (if you have the bans ready)

    Prepare the buns the day before or early in the morning so they get to cool.

    Wash thoroughly the potatoes and bring them to a boil for 15 minutes. Cut in wedges. Sprinkle with some olive oil and place in a pan. Bake for 15 minutes over 200oC. Sprinkle them with sea salt and paprika.

    Finely slice the pickled cucumbers, and add them to the mayonnaise, mix well. Save for later.

    Add the slices of bacon to a hot skillet and fry until nice and crispy.

  5. 5

    Separate the ground beef into 4 equal portions, shape and season generously. Place them on a sizzling hot skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning each side 2-3 times.

    Cut the buns in half, spread the pickle sauce, mustard and ketchup. Add the cheese and burger, the hot burger will melt the cheese really nicely. Add the bacon, the tomato and the lettuce. Serve with the country style potatoes and enjoy !
