Steps
- 1
Keep a 2-pound seedless watermelon in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours so that it is nicely chilled. However, if you forgot to chill it, you can always chill the ready juice later
- 2
Wash it and cut it into cubes
- 3
Add the cubes to a blender. Don’t worry about the seeds if there are any.
- 4
Blend for 10-12 seconds. Do not over blend otherwise the seeds (if there are any) will also blend along with the pulp
- 5
The watermelon that I used had a lot of seeds and hence I passed the juice through a fine-mesh strainer to get rid of them. If you are using seedless watermelon, you can skip this process.
- 6
Press with the back of a ladle to get as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp.
- 7
Add black salt and mix well. Adding black salt is optional but it gives a delicious flavor to this juice so highly recommended
- 8
Pour the juice into glasses and serve. You can also refrigerate it for a few hours if the watermelon was not chilled earlier. Adding a few ice cubes to the juice also works.
