  1. 2 cupsAll-purpose Flour
  2. 1/2 tspSalt
  3. 1 tspBaking Soda
  4. 1/2 tspBaking Powder
  5. 1 tspGround Cloves
  6. 1 tspGround Cinnamon
  7. 1 tspGround Nutmeg
  8. 1.5 sticksUnsalted Butter, softened
  9. 2 cupsSugar
  10. 2large Eggs
  11. 15-oz can 100% Pure Pumpkin (Libby's)

    Preheat oven to 325°F and set oven rack to middle position.

  2. 2

    Generously grease two 8x4-inch loaf pans with butter and dust with flour.

  3. 3

    In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk well.

  4. 4

    In a large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter and sugar on medium until just blended. Add eggs one at a time and beating well. Continue beating until very light and fluffy. Add pumpkin. (Should look grainy.)

  5. 5

    Add flour mixture and mix on low speed.

  6. 6

    Turn battery into prepared loaf pans evenly. Bake for 65-75 min. Let loaves cool in pans for about 10 min. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
