Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 500 gmboneless Chicken cut into sliced at least 2 inch long
  2. Ingredients for Marinating Chicken:-
  3. 1 tbspginger-garlic paste
  4. 1 tspred chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tspBlack pepper powder
  6. 1 tbsplemon juice
  7. 2-3 tbspcurd
  8. 1 tspTandoori Chicken Masala
  9. as per tasteSalt
  10. 1/2 tspGaram Masala powder
  11. 2-3 tbspOlive oil or vegetable oil for shallow fry
  12. For preparing YOGHURT SAUCE:-
  13. 1/2 cupGreek yoghurt
  14. 1 clovegarlic, crushed
  15. 1/2 tspcumin powder
  16. 1/4 tspblack pepper powder
  17. as required lemon juice
  18. as per tasteSalt
  19. For making Kuboos (Arabic Pita bread)
  20. 1/2 cupwheat flour
  21. 1/2 cupMaida flour
  22. 1 tspdry yeast
  23. 1/4 cuphot water
  24. 2 tspsugar
  25. as per tasteSalt
  26. as per tasteWarm water or warm milk as per needed for kneading
  27. 1 tbspolive oil or any vegetable oil
  28. as required To serve:- 4 Kuboos (flatbreads or Lebanese pita bread)
  29. As required Tandoori Mayonnaise as per required (optional)
  30. As required few Napa cabbage or any cabbage cut into long strips
  31. 2Tomato cut into long strips

Steps

  1. 1

    For Marinating Chicken:-
    Cut the chicken into sliced at least 2 inch long.
    Combine the marinate ingredients in a bowl. Add the chicken and rub the marinade mixture all over each chicken piece. Place in the refrigerator. You can marinate for minimum 30 mins to 24 hours. I kept marinate Chicken in airtight container in refrigerator for overnight.

    For preparing Yogurt Sauce:-
    In a bowl, combine the ingredients for making Yogurt Sauce and mix. Cover and keep aside in the refrigerator. It remains fresh for 2-3 days, if kept inside refrigerator.

    For preparing Kuboos:-
    In a bowl, combine the yeast, sugar and hot water and set it aside for 10 minutes until foam rises.
    Now add maida flour, wheat flour and salt and knead soft dough. Add warm water or warm milk if necessary for kneading. Dough should be smooth and not stiff. Add oil and mix. Cover and keep aside for 1 to 2 hours.

    After 2 hour, knead and divide dough into 4 equal balls. Take a ball, flatten it and roll them on a flat surface with a rolling pin into a chapati.

    Then cook this pita bread on a hot tawa, just like chapattis. Cook till fluffy, then remove it on the plate. Kuboos (Arabic Pita bread) is ready.

    Now take out marinated Chicken:-
    You can grill, deep fry or shallow fry the marinate chicken. Here, I shallow fried it in a pan on medium-high flame.
    In pan, add 1 to 2 tbsp olive oil and fried the marinated chicken until golden-brown. Cook till chicken is cooked.

    To serve:-
    Cut the fried chicken into thin strips and keep aside.
    Apply Yogurt sauce on Kuboos.
    You can also apply Tandoori mayonnaise instead of yogurt sauce (optional).

    Then place some fried chicken strips, bit of chopped cabbage and chopped tomato on top.
    Then again add some sauce on the top.

    Roll up and enjoy!
