Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 10 ounceswhole wheat penne (280 grams)
  • 1 cupheavy cream (1 container)
  • 1 cansliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 cupgrated Parmesan cheese (50 grams)
  • Parmesan cheese shavings, to taste
  • Salt

Steps

  1. 1

    Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the whole wheat penne according to the package instructions.

  2. 2

    While the pasta cooks, drain the mushrooms and blend them until smooth. Place the blended mushrooms in a large skillet, add the grated Parmesan and cream, and heat gently to create a thick, creamy sauce.

  3. 3

    Drain the pasta and toss it in the mushroom cream sauce. Serve with a few Parmesan shavings on top.
