Julienne the ginger.

Heat the sesame oil in a pan, and stir fry the ginger.

When it's aromatic and turning brown, add the water. Bring to a boil and add the soup stock granules, sake, soy sauce and salt. Stir in the katakuriko dissolved in water to thicken the soup.

When it comes to a boil again, pour in the beaten egg and mix.
