Goulash/what ever you need2 use up/stew Goulash/what ever you need2 use up/stew
Recently went on a road trip to a huge produce market that had a crazy sale on everything from green peppers for 38 cents per lb to Yukon gold potatoes for 79 cents a 2lb bag if you've read my pork roast recipe. I could not resist LOL gave all my neighbors some of the spoils doing little things like that really makes someone's day a little better giving them a sense of true humanity a sense of matter plus makes you feel good to do goodness for others. Nice big bag of fresh produce less then 4 dollars. PRICELESS FOOD FOR THE SOUL. I'll list the ingredients for a normal batch. Not the monster I made for dinner and co-workers lunches. If you want the monster simply double all ingredients! As the title states you could really put any vegetable or meat in this recipe! INSANExBUTCHER -

Easy! Potato and Bacon Stew Easy! Potato and Bacon Stew
This is an easy stewed dish that my busy mother used to make. It's now a staple in my household. My mother's version only had bacon and potatoes in it but I've added vegetables to make it tastier.Beware of burning, since all you have to do is leave it on the stove.Using 'Wagaya no Banou Tsuyu' or any Japanese noodle dipping sauce should be fine. Adding 1 tablespoon of this to the pot will make it more delicious. Recipe by Fujihime mama cookpad.japan -
Beef stew Beef stew
I must admit this recipe is really for a beef pie, but the insides where so good, why not just have the insides!! I think it qualifies for stew!! You can cook the first part in a skillet but you do need a Dutch oven to complete it. It is rather fiddly to make but I guarantee you'll be happy with the results. Props to my hubby as well for the photography as usual!! kokomayla -
Hamburger Stew Hamburger Stew
My sister in-law made this for the first time the other day and told me to try it. Please read full recipe here as I added some notes that I did to change the recipe some in case you want to make it the exact same way. Following the recipe as it’s originally written will still be very good though I just changed it to how me and my family would like it.Here’s the website it came from:https://www.saltandlavender.com/hamburger-stew/I doubled the potatoes and carrots and added peas and corn. Add or omit whatever vegetables you would like! Danielle Morse -
Shocking and Super Rich Belgian Waffles Shocking and Super Rich Belgian Waffles
Belgian waffles may not be so popular anymore, but I had a craving for them and came up with a recipe for my favorite ones that I loved eating in the past. I arranged it so that I could easily make it anytime here in the US. I make a lot and freeze them so I could pop them in the toaster for breakfast or put them in my kids' lunch box. Please try as it is rich and delicious!Note: This recipe uses a lot of butter, so I don't recommend it if you are on a diet!Pearl sugar needs to be mixed into the dough prior to final rising.Only use the egg yolks. The amounts of butter and egg yolks do not have to be exact. The amount of butter specified is 1 stick commonly sold in the US. If you are making this in Japan, measure about 100 grams. For 8 to 10 waffles. Recipe by Harumie cookpad.japan -

Brussels Sprouts and Mushrooms with Cheese Brussels Sprouts and Mushrooms with Cheese
This is the first note to myself for a recipe using a wood-burning stove. Since the temperature and the cooking each time vary when using the wood-burning stove, I posted the oven version recipe.I like baked Brussels sprouts better than boiled ones.If you are in a hurry, you can parboil the Brussels sprouts and bake with the mushrooms all at once, though the slowly roasted Brussels sprouts are exceptionally delicious. Adjust the cooking time to the oven that you are using.Parmesan cheese goes well with this dish also. Recipe by Asaras cookpad.japan -
Simple Rösti (Hash Browns) Simple Rösti (Hash Browns)
Rösti is a common potato dish from Switzerland and Germany. I toned down the amount of butter and cheese to make a light and simple variety. Serving with sausages. The centre of these rösti will be fluffy thanks to the boiled potatoes. Even with a small amount of butter and cheese, they'll turn out nice and fragrant if fried with sausages. Spring Cabbage Pot-au-Feu Spring Cabbage Pot-au-Feu
It's my mother's regular pot-au-feu. Lots of vegetables, and a lighter taste.I used a whole May Queen potato, but when there's not much time, I cut it in half. Make sure the potatoes don't crumble. Try to be careful because the sausages may burst. Recipe by Mawaru7 cookpad.japan
