It's #NYE2021 and the year has been another one of those years. So, spending at home we are jazzing things up as much as possible which means cocktails!! This is a must for a lot of the favs here, notably Margaritas .. This lasts for up to 2 weeks and makes half a bottle. (See pic(

Ingredients

1 cup(or portion) white sugar
1 cupwater
2/3 cupfresh lemon juice
2/3 cupfresh lime juice

Get 1 unit of whatever you are measuring in. This. 1 cup of sugar equals half a bottle eventually. Pour into a saucepan

Next add your equal amount of cold water

Now set on medium heat and stir until all the sugar has dissolved. It should be about 3mins

Once all the sugar is mixed in, set aside to cool.

Now juice your limes. (Tip. It helps to warm them a little as more juice comes out so pop 6 in microwave for about 15 seconds) Juice 2/3rd of whatever water sugar unit you had. For 1 cup sugar it took us 6 limes and 3 lemons).

Pour the lime juice into the sugar water mix and stiir in

Now so the same with the lemons as you did with the limes. Warm slice juice and pour into the main mix.

Now you may have some bits of lemon and lime in the juice now. Pips and flesh. Filter them out with a seive as you pour the mixture into a jug (I'm using a jug to make it easier to bottle. If you aren't doing that, work with what you have and filter out to that directly)

Finally, bottle your mixture and enjoy in your cocktails
