First dry roast your rice &dal let the aroma will appear to your nose. Put off the gas keep the cooker traditional pot pour water, milk let them steamed for time.

Then wash your rice, dal(moogdal) pour slowly in to the water, milk mixed based materials take a spatula give rotation clock wise when, the milk and water based rice, dal will overflow then, we will all worshipped sun God offering our prayers then muc your jaggery, let them cook nicely be patient it will take sometime, when it us cooked nicely in between add ghee also. Your sarkari pongal almost ready.

Then tampering, the pongal pour 6 teaspoon of ghee then fry your cashew nut, grapes, caradamon powder, and add finally kalpur(eatable one it is called us pachai kalpuram) it will give very good aroma to your pongal.

Then offer to your guest in a banana leaf they will really relish and enjoy..
