In a saucepan or pressure cooker, heat a little oil on medium-high heat and fry the beef (with the salt and pepper) for 5 minutes or until sealed.

Add the onions and soften for a few minutes

Add the garlic and ginger for a few minutes

Add the swede and the remaining ingredients, cook for a few minutes

Add a quarter cup of water and pressure cook for 30 minutes (or 1.5 hours on high heat on a hob, ensuring enough water is constantly added to cover the meat/swede to prevent burning)

Heat until water evaporates and you are left with a thick sauce consistency. Serve with rice
