Take toor dal clean and wash 3-4 times with water put the dal in a pressure cooker. Add garlic paste, red Chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Add 1 cup water. pressure cook the dal for 3 whistles. Allow releasing pressure naturally.

Open the lid the daal had perfectly cooked. add some water as desired consistency. Give it a boil and transfer in a serving pot.

Take a tadka pan add ghee heat it. First, add chopped garlic cloves when they started light brown add green chilies and curry leaves. saute a few seconds then pour the tempering on cooked dal. Serve with rice or roti.
