Peel and deseed raw papaya.Grate raw papaya and carrot.Mix salt (1 tb.spoon.) and leave it for 10 min.Squeeze all the water.

Mix grated papaya, carrot,gram flour,salt,red chilli powder and carrom seeds.Make 11 balls from this mixture.

Heat oil in a karahi or pan,deep fry all the koftas in batches,first in hot oil and then slow to medium heat.Keep it aside.

For the gravy - Heat oil 21/2 tb.dp.oil in a pan,add hing and cumin.Add onion and salt.Cook until golden brown.Mix kashmiri red chilli, turmeric powder and coriander powder in 1/2 cup water and then mix in the onion mixture.Cook for 5 min. Add tomato puree and cook until oil releases from it.Add 2 cups of water and cook for 6-7 min.

Add koftas in the curry and cook for 3-4min.on low heat.Switch off the gas.Add coconut milk.Sprinkle garam masala and coriander leaves.

Your delicious kofta curry is ready to serve.

Serve it with roti or rice.
