Steam brinjal in a cooker with 1/4 th cup water.Close the lid. Cook on a high flame. Switch off the gas after first whistle.Transfe it in a strainer.

Heat oil in a karahi,add asafoetida,cumin seeds,green chilli,ginger.Saute.Add turmeric powder,red chilli powder, coriander powder salt and peas.Add 3 tb.spoon.water.Cover and cook on a low heat until peas become soft.

Add tomato and cook until tomatoes become mushy.Add brinjal and mix. Cook for another 5-6 min.

Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve with parathas or roti.
