Pita or pitta, is a family of yeast-leavened round flatbreads baked from flour, common in the Mediterranean, Middle East, and neighboring areas.

To maximize the shelf life of packaged pita bread, keep tightly closed in original packaging and store at room temperature. Properly stored, packaged pita bread will last for about 5 to 7 days at normal room temperature.

Mix all the ingredients except milk

Now slowly add milk and mix until crumbled dough forms

Now knead the dough until soft and smooth

Now shift the dough into greased bowl and apply oil and cover it then rest for 2 hours for proofing

After 2 hours the dough has doubled then weigh the dough it is approximately 771 gm.

Now divide the dough into 7 parts 110 gm of each

Now make balls and cover it for half hour

After half an hour roll the balls about 1 inch thick

Now cover these for an other half hour

Now cook them on low flame on tawa or non-stick pan

When it starts bubbling flip the side and cook for 2 more minutes
