Dal Dhokli (Dumplings in Lentil Soup)

Mix all the dals. Wash them and soak for about 2 hours.

Meanwhile make the dough and prepare small Dhokli.

In a bowl add all the flours, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ajwain and hing. Also add ghee and knead a dough.

Make small round balls and press with the thumb in the centre. Make all the dhoklis in the same way.

Now After 2 hours cook the dals on medium flame in a heavy bottom pan or a cooker.

When semi cooked add peanuts, raisins. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Mix well.

Add the prepared Dhokli now and cook till the dhoklis are soft and cooked completely.

Prepare tempering : In heated ghee add cumin seeds, curry leaves and hing. Pour this over the dal dhokli

Enjoy with some fried papad and lehsun ki chutney.
Can be enjoyed as one pot meal.
