For these mini panzerotti, you can choose any filling you like. I made them with homemade whole wheat pie crust and a classic ham and cheese filling. Of course, they’re cooked in the air fryer!

For these mini panzerotti, you can choose any filling you like. I made them with homemade whole wheat pie crust and a classic ham and cheese filling. Of course, they’re cooked in the air fryer!

Make the panzerotti filling by mixing the diced ham, diced cheese, tomato sauce, a pinch of salt, a grind of pepper, and oregano in a bowl.

If using homemade dough, roll it out with a rolling pin. If using store-bought, simply unroll it. Use a 3-inch (8 cm) round cutter to cut out as many circles as possible. Gather the scraps, knead them together, roll out again, and cut more circles until all the dough is used.

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape, press the edges together with your fingers, and seal with the tines of a fork.

Place the half-moons in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (180°C) for 10–12 minutes.
⚠️ Temperature and cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
