Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgpotatoes boiled and mashed
  2. 1 tspsalt
  3. 1 tspred chili powder
  4. 1 tspchaat masala
  5. 1/2 tspgaram masala
  6. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  7. 2 tbsptamarind pulp
  8. Handfulcoriander leaves roughly chopped
  9. Oil for deep frying
  10. For batter
  11. 1 cupchickpeas flour
  12. 1 tspsalt
  13. 1 tspred chili powder
  14. 1/4 tspturmeric powder

    Method for bata vada
    In potatoes add all the spices and tamarind pulp. Mix well and make ball.

    For batter
    Make batter with baisan, red chili powder and turmeric. Make batter with the help of water. Dip potatoes ball in batter and deep fry the bata vada.
