Chana puri /Chole puri is a very famous North Indian/Punjabi meal which is famous across India. This dish is my family favourite and is one of the favourite Sunday lunch menu also
Chole means chickpeas ,is a protein rich legume. It can be prepared in many ways. Here is my recipe without onion gralic. It is very easy and delicious.

Chole means chickpeas ,is a protein rich legume. It can be prepared in many ways. Here is my recipe without onion gralic. It is very easy and delicious.
Steps

Soak chickpeas in warm water for 7-8 hours. Then wash and pressure cook it. Add a little salt in the chickpeas while pressure cooking it.

Mix all ingredients of the spice mix.
Heat oil and saute spicemix on low flame. - 3
Sprinkle a little water, from time to time while sauteing spicemix,when you notice it becomes dry. Contiinue sauting spice mix like this till oil separates.

Then add pressure cooked chickpeas,salt and water. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes. Add water as per your choice of consistency. Then turn off the heat.

Serve hot with puris, bhatura,kulcha whatever you like.
