Parmesan Meatball Bake

Ingredients

5-6 people
  1. 2 lbsground beef
  2. 1 cupgrated, divided, Parmesan cheese
  3. 1/4 cupheavy cream
  4. 1egg
  5. 2 Tbspdiced onion
  6. 6garlic cloves
  7. 1 Tbspdried Italian seasoning
  8. 1/2 tspground black pepper
  9. 1/2 tspsalt
  10. 2 cupsmarinara sauce
  11. 2 cupsAlfredo sauce
  12. 1 cupmozzarella cheese
  13. 2 Tbspchopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

    Combine beef, 3/4 cup parmesan, heavy cream, egg, onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper, and mix or work with your hands until completely incorporated.

    Form into 18-24 meatballs and place side-by-side in a 9x13 casserole dish. (We used a medium-sized Le Creuset braiser)

    Cover the meatballs with marinara and alfredo sauce, then evenly spread the mozzarella and remaining parmesan cheese over the top. Bake uncovered at 350° for 35-45 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through (160° internal temp).

    Remove dish from oven and let set for five minutes. Enjoy!

    Optional: serve dish over pasta!
