Baked crab cakes / Cajun dill sauce

Easy and quick. Baked instead of pan fried!!! This makes two large crab cakes plus a little bit of the mix will be left over and you can make crab cake balls with him. I served it with garlic shrimp and a large salad.

Ingredients

  1. 8 ozreal crab meat (lump or claw)
  2. 2 tbsmayo
  3. 1 tbsstone /creole mustard
  4. 2 tsphot sauce
  5. 1egg
  6. 1/2 cupbreadcrumbs
  7. 2 tbssautéed red peppers
  8. 2 tbssautéed white onions
  9. 1 tspold bay
  10. 2 tspCajun seasoning
  11. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  12. 2 tbsfresh chopped parsley
  13. 1/2 tspdried dill
  14. Cajun dill sauce
  15. 2 tbsmayo
  16. 1 tbscreole mustard
  17. 1 tsphot sauce
  18. 1 tsp worchestshire sauce
  19. 1 tsplemon juice
  20. 1 tbsfresh chopped parsley
  21. 1 tspdried dill
  22. Salt and pepper to taste
  23. 1 tspCajun seasoning
  24. 1 tspold bay seasoning

Cooking Instructions

    Place crab in bowl and check for any show pieces. Ceiling with Cajun seasoning, black pepper, and old bay seasoning. Preheat oven to 400°.

    Add sautéed veggies and fresh parsley.

    Mixed together mustard mayo and hot sauce. Add to crab mixture and lightly mix.

    Whisk one egg and then add to crab mixture.

    Add breadcrumbs to grab mixture. Lightly mix all ingredients together. If the mixture is too wet slowly add a little bit more breadcrumbs but not too much. Do not over mix as you do not want to break up the crab meat pieces.

    Form crabcakes on a oiled sheet pan using a ring mold. Bake on 400° for 15 minutes

    All crabcakes are baking create your Cajun dill sauce. Mix all ingredients together in whisk well. Season with salt and pepper at the end to taste.

    Remove crabcakes from the oven. Drizzle with lemon dill sauce and enjoy!
