Ingredients

  • 2 big Aloo samosas
  • 2boiled, peeled and cubed potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoonsgreen mint coriander chutney
  • 2 tablespoonstamarind sauce/chutney
  • 1 cupthick fresh yoghurt, whisked until smooth
  • 1green chilli, chopped
  • 1 teaspoonchaat masala, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspooncumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonred chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoonfresh coriander, chopped
  • 2 tablespoonsthin bhujiya /sev

    We can use plain boiled chickpeas but I prefer building flavour by pressure cooking them first with salt, chopped ginger, and green chilies.

    Assembling/plating
    On a plate, crush two samosas lightly into big pieces.

  3. 3

    Add a generous amount of boiled chickpeas and cubed potatoes.

  4. 4

    Then sprinkle some of the finely chopped tomato, onion, and chilies.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle chaat masala, cumin powder, and chili powder.

  6. 6

    Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of the whisked yogurt followed by green chutney dropwise and tamarind sauce/chutney.

  7. 7

    Then top the entire chaat with some chopped coriander, green chilies, and crushed sev/bhujiya and serve immediately.
