Turn on the stove and dry roast the makhana in a skillet until they are crisp. Let them cool, then coarsely crush them.

In a large bowl, whisk the yogurt. Add roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, black salt, and sendha namak. Mix well, then add the coarsely crushed makhana and mix again. Add the chopped cilantro and green chili, and mix to combine.

Transfer the prepared raita to a serving bowl. Garnish with some whole roasted makhana, cilantro, mint, and chopped green chili. Serve with your favorite meal.
