Ingredients

  1. 250 gramsbasmati rice
  2. 2 cupsmint leaves
  3. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  4. 5-6green chillies
  5. as per taste salt
  6. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  7. 1 tspbiryani masala
  8. 2cloves,
  9. 1 piece cinnamon,
  10. 1tspstar anise ,
  11. 1tsp shahjeera
  12. 2 tsplemon juice
  13. 2 tbspcashew nuts
  14. 1big oinion sliced
  15. 2 tbspoil,
  16. 1 tbspghee

    Rinse & clean rice, soak it for 20minutes..take a blender/mixer jar, add mint leaves, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, green chillies, add little water blend it to a smooth paste..and keep aside

    Now heat up the pressure cooker, add oil & ghee add in whole garam masala ingredients, turmeric powder, and thinly sliced onion..saute it until transparent..fry cashew nuts along with it..

    Now add in ground masala.. saute it for 5 minutes, add turmeric powder, biryani masala, add 2 cup of water.. bring it to boil, & add drained rice..&squeeze out lemon juice, add salt mix everything well...

    Cover the lid, get 1 or 2 whistles.. let the cooker to cool down.. open the lid... serve hot with raita/pickle....
