Homemade strawberry jam 🍓

I found very cheap and fresh strawberries in a fruit and vegetable shop in Bedminster, so I bought 4 packs and used half of them to make this jam!
With homemade jam, you won’t intake any preservatives or food additives. Although it has lots of sugar in it, this is a much healthier choice if you want to enjoy jam.

Steps
- 1
Sanitize your empty jar and lid. Please see how to do it from the link I’m attaching.
- 2
Remove the stems from the strawberries and rinse them in water. Lift them into a colander.
- 3
Add strawberries, sugar and lemon juice into a pot. Leave it for 30 mins until the sugar dissolves and the juice comes out from the strawberries.
- 4
Simmer over medium heat. Scoop the yuck from the strawberries. It takes around 30-40 mins until it becomes jam, but never stay away from the hob as it can boil over.
- 5
Put the jam in the jar while it’s still hot. Cover with a lid while it’s still hot. Once it cools down, store in the fridge.
