Cooking Instructions

Cook rice in rice cooker with a piece of konbu.

Bring salmon onto parchment paper and spread out allowing to cook enough to handle.

Wet hands and dip fingers in salt rubbing on the inside of your hand to fully coat. This is salt the outside of the onigiri.

Choose your filling. Put in center of rice ball and shape using both hands.
- 5
Wrap in piece of nori. If using later save nori for then.

Using a vegetable peeler, I made a rose from kamaboko and placed it on an onigiri.Use daikon radish sprouts or mitsuba instead of the snow peas. Or you can just omit them. If you bury part of the kamaboko rose and the snow pea leaves into the onigiri, they won't fall apart easily in a bento box. Flavor the rice and/or add a filling of your choice to the onigiri.
