Beef and Cabbage Stew (Jon Style)

Pat the beef dry with paper towels and cut into 4 pieces.

In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat and brown the beef on all sides.

Add the garlic and onion, and sauté until golden.

Pour in the wine and water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, until the beef is tender.

Once the beef is tender, add the remaining ingredients. Increase the heat to bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for another 20 minutes.

Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
